St. Gallen
The OpenAir St. Gallen belongs to the oldest and biggest OpenAir-Festivals of Switzerland. Since 1977 they hosted hundreds of bands, which are known all over the world, e. g. The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, R.E.M., Brian Adams and many more. Every year it starts on the first july weekend. The location is the Sittertobel near St. Gallen. 2007 they had 97'000 visitors.
Frauenfeld
The Openair Frauenfeld is the biggest OpenAir-Festival of the german part of Switzerland. 100'000 people, a new record, were visiting 2007 this event with mainly hip-hop acts.
Gurtenfestival
The Gurtenfestival is the yearly event on the Gurten mountain near the swiss main city Bern. Acts vary from rock to pop combos, which include also bigger swiss bands. Fans appreciate the easy and mellow atmosphere combined with good music. It's still (since 1977) one of the biggest music-events of switzerland.
