Orbital has been nominated for the Pocket Gamer Award 2012 for Best Windows Phone Game of the Year. Pocket Gamer is a very famous site for games on portable devices. Mobile phones and handheld consoles. In 2009 Orbital already won the Silver Award for Best iPhone Game of the Year and we hope that we achieve gold this year.

The winners will be announced at this year’s Game Developer Conference in March 2012. So put your Orbital-trained thumbs up for our possible victory!

Amanzivision is still very successful. The World Vision game is now available for nearly one and a half years and still the users collect virtual water to support WorldVision in building wells in Africa. Now the Swi ss TV channel Tele TOP and RIMUSS step in too. Together they motivate the audience to play the game online and to collect water. As soon as enough water is collected, RIMUSS will sponsor a well in Mozambique. A well which provdes fresh water to a whole village.

Tele TOP will cover the daily work of World Vision in Mozambique in March. So long six wells have been built with World Vision and the help of all players of Amanzivision. Now the seventh well is going to be financed by RIMUSS. The game from bitforge is available for iPhone and Android and as well playable online.

Fresh for 2012! The new App of bitforge has recently been published at the stores. Medical and health care is a subject which for sure is of interest to everybody. Together with ProMedicus bitforge developed the application which gives every patient the needed information and backup in the world of health. MobilMed provides access to information about medical centers, doctors, drugs and all kinds of subjects around health. The application consist of different parts which all provide advantage in handling the facts and information within the complex health system in Switzerland and gives personal needed information about medication and doctors. Various news about the subject are located in the news section where all kinds of information are collected.

Drugs and Search are the main features of the application. With the Search function the patient is able to find the best medical center or doctor directly according to the needed specialization. It’s also possible to search for specific locations or subjects. With the location function the user is as well able to look for medical centers just around his current position. There are many different drugs for all kinds of problems. It can happen that patients loose the overview within all those. Or he has a drug at home but cannot tell for which illness he received it because he already lost the package or the package insert. With the drug list of MobilMed this is no longer a problem. All drugs are saved and can be found through the search function and therefore as well all the information according the specific drug and a copy of the package insert as well. For all those who have to swallow their pills and juices at different times there is help too. A reminder can be programmed for all drugs – so the user gets a reminder at the specific time and doesn’t forget to take the drugs he needs.

The application has as well more specific information about certain subjects to offer. Links, useful websites, book recommendations, online brochures or even recommendations to other apps with e specific use in medicine and health are provided to all users. MobilMed offers easy access to the field of health and medicine.

Das Weihnachtsspiel von Coop ist endlich im Store erhältlich – entwickelt und kreiert von bitforge! Und noch besser: Das Spiel hat bereits jetzt eingeschlagen wie ein gut geformter Schneeball.  Innerhalb von nur einem Tag schaffte es das Spiel auf Platz 1 im AppStore! Das Ziel des Spiels? Den kleinen Engel Fabia steuern und ihr helfen, im winterlichen Nachthimmel so viele Sterne wie möglich einzusammeln. 

Sternenflug ist das Weihnachtsspiel für die ganze Familie, das bitforge im Auftrag des Detailhändlers Coop entwickelt hat. Innerhalb weniger Wochen wurde die gesamte App inklusive dem darin integrierten Spiel geplant, designt und umgesetzt. In enger Zusammenarbeit und Kooperation mit Coop entstand dann eine Applikation für iPhone, iPad und Android, die hohe Massstäbe setzt und durch Qualität, spannendes Gameplay und detaillierte Grafik überzeugt. Von der Planung, über das Design bis zur finalen Programmierung entstand alles in-house und setzt damit nicht nur qualitativ sondern auch optisch neue Massstäbe im Bereich Werbegames. Bitforge verfügt bereits über grosse Erfahrung in der Produktion von 3D-Spielen und konnte dieses Können einmal mehr unter Beweis stellen – und das Resultat kann sich sehen lassen. The Swiss TV channel joiz has now it’s own app. From now on you’ll find your favorite broadcast and news about stars all around the world not only on TV and on the Website but as well on your Smartphone. The joiz app brings you news and videos to all their broadcasts, live information and everything there is to know about the world of lifestyle and music. With the video collection you are able to watch single parts of a broadcasts or videoclips just on the go everywhere you like.

Interactivity is a big thing at joiz. So there is much stuff in the app which suits that concept. Of course there’s Facebook connection. “Like” broadcasts and information directly via app and participate at live votings during emissions just with one click – respectively one tap with your finger.

Today the update of the World Vision Application MyWorldVision is ready for download. Not only small changes have been made – no – a whole new game has been implemented as well! It’s name is VisionVille and helps everyone to understand the complex and difficult world of development aid. The player is animated to help a village to build a better future and he has to decide wisely which steps he wants to take to provide water, food, education and health to all the inhabitants. During the game there is lot to be learned. The game gives useful and detailed information about all facts of development aid and all the complex areas and problems which World Vision has to face every day.

MyWorldVision it the application of World Vision – a swiss relief organization – and provides information, news and background about the subject of children and development aid. Sponsors of a child of WorldVision are as well invited subscribe in with their personal login and receive even more information and detailed news according their child, the country in which it lives, the weather there and of course the latest pictures.

With VisionVille bitforge now developed two games for WorldVision. The first game – Amanzivision – was published a year ago and was a huge success. Even now players are collecting water within this game to finance a real well in Mosambique.

The Windows Phone 7 version of Orbital has successfully passed the final certification of Microsoft. So it will only take about two weeks from now until it will be released! Orbital passed the final certification on the first submission, which is rare in game business. So we’re very proud that Orbital will soon hitting the WP7 with Xbox LIVE.

After the game has been successful on iOS for two years now and has recently been released for Android it’s a big deal that it’s coming for WP7 so soon.
