The Christmas game of Coop is now in stores – developed and created by bitforge. And it gets even better: In only one day the game has climbed the top of the AppStore charts and ranked 1! Aim of the game? To help the Christmas angel Fabia to collect as many stars as possible in the wintery sky.
Starflight is the Christmas game for the whole family which was developed from bitforge for Coop. Within a few weeks the whole app has been planed and developed including the game as well as all side features. In close co-work with Coop the result was a game, which raises the bar of quality, gameplay and graphics. Everything at the game has been planed and developed in-house! Bitforge already has high experience in making great games in 3D and could proof this knowledge once again – with a stunning result. What other explanation do you need except that our whole crew has stopped working and is beating each others highscore?

Integriert in die Applikation von World Vision – MyWorldVision – ist das Spiel VisionVille. Darin wird dem Spieler die komplexe Welt der Entwicklungshilfe auf spielerische Art und Weise verständlich gemacht. Die Bilder und Hintergründe sind allesamt anhand von originalen Fotos aus den Archiven von World Vision entstanden und wurden in aufwändiger Arbeit von Hand neu gezeichnet, was dem Spiel einen einzigartig authentischen Look verleiht. Ganze sieben Minigames entwickelte bitforge einzeln und individuell auf die verschiedenen Tätigkeiten der Entwicklungshilfe von World Vision. Programmiert wurde mit Flash für Web und als native objecitve für das Smartphone.
Das Spiel ist aufgebaut in zwei Teile. Einerseits die Erzählungen mit Informationen aus dem Dorf und der Entwicklungshilfe. Andererseits bieten sieben Mini-Games die nötige Unterhaltung, um den Spieler auch längerfristig am Spiel zu halten. Beispielsweise müssen Kinder geimpft werden, ein Brunnen soll gebaut werden oder Lehrer benötigen Ausbildung. Für jeden dieser einzelnen Punkte in der Entwicklungshilfe wurde ein kleines Game programmiert! Nicht nur erhält der Spieler durch die textbasierte Spielweise nützliche Hinweise und Informationen zur Thematik, das Lesen wird regelmässig durch kleine Geschicklichkeitsspiele aufgelockert.
Viele Faktoren sind Teil einer erfolgreichen Hilfe in einem Dorf und all diese Faktoren sind ineinander verknüpft. Im Spiel wird der Spieler dazu aufgefordert, einem Dorf zu einer besseren Zukunft zu verhelfen, indem er verschiedene wichtige Entscheidungen trifft und zahlreiche Aufgaben meistern muss – doch das ist bei all den ineinander verschachtelten Faktoren gar nicht so leicht. Während des Spiels erhält der Spieler allerdings gleichzeitig nützliche und wichtige Informationen zur Arbeit von Entwicklungshelfen und vor allem darüber, wie komplex diese Angelegenheit sein kann.
